I started this “Journey” on June 20, 2007, I currently have lost 122 lbs. It took me about 2 years to lose the majority of my weight. My blood pressure when I first started was 142/82 and my resting heart rate was 88, now it’s 102/60 and my resting heart rate is 51.
I like to run in various races, mostly 5k’s, I like those the best. I usually do one 1/2 marathon a year. I’ve never wanted to do a full marathon, after 13 miles I can’t even image doing another 13!! I love a challenge and I love doing extreme races, such as the Mud Run, Warrior Dash, Mud Fest, and the Stadium Run.
I am interested in competing in Figure, which is a softer side of bodybuilding. They don’t get as bulked up as the bodybuilding women, but they are more muscular than the Bikini women. “The sport of figure is not judged by who has the most ripped abs. Being lean is important, but not everyone has genetically gifted deep ab blocks. It is judged on the woman’s entire ‘figure’ and shape of the body as well as presentation, skin tone, hair, makeup, posing, presentation.
Basically, your butt shouldn’t be wider than your shoulders and your arms shouldn’t be bigger than your legs. You must have symmetry from top to bottom” (Nicole Wilkins)
I love working out, it has become a passion of mine! I love being in the gym and if I could work out twice a day or for a living I would! It’s become a huge part of my life! It’s very important to me!
I would love to help people lose weight and get into shape and my goal is to one day do this, even though I do it now in a different capacity, than what I want, in the future my goal is to take it a step further.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog! I hope to inspire and motivate you to reach whatever your goals are!
Enjoy the Journey! ~~ B~~
