Balsamic Vinegar

I started using Balsamic Vinegar on my vegetables, I like to sprinkle this on my cucumbers, tomatoes, cauliflower, broccoli and whatever other fresh vegetables I eat.  You don’t need oil with it either.   Try it,  if you haven’t I think you’ll enjoy it.  I even started putting this on my salads!  It’s so good, I love it!

My hip injury is slowly getting better, I think it’s going to take longer than four weeks though.  I’m thinking more along the lines of 8-12 weeks!  It’s still sore and it hurts, but not like it did, I can tell an improvement!  My workouts have been modified so, I am not standing.  I do all my upper body and core training seated on a bench or on the floor! My trainer and I have decided that we will use this time to lean me out and get cut.  I noticed today after 3 weeks that I am starting to lean out.  I am looking forward to working out with my trainer tomorrow, after not being able to workout on the weekends I am ready for a good workout!!

I need to finish packing up my meals for the week, so I’ll close this blog for now and remember that “one step starts the journey!”  Start now!!

Quick Post

Just a really quick post, to update you guys on what’s been going on in my life! I have been super busy at work! Which I like being busy, but I could use a break right about now! I’ve been working two desks and being on crutches has been a challenge, being that I need my hands to carry things around the office! Lucky for me, I work with a great group of people who have been there for me helping whenever I need it! Which has been hard, because I don’t like to ask for help, but I’ve had to take it and I do appreicate it. I love that one of the departments looks out for me to drive up in the morning and then they come out and get gym bag, purse and I have a food bag too! By the time I get to my desk and I must say I’m pretty quick on crutches, they have my gallon water jug filled and hot water for my oatmeal at my desk!! I hope they know how much I appreciate them!!

My next doctor appointment is on the 27th, which will be 5 weeks. I can tell that my hip is healing, I’ve been able to sleep at night and the pain is less than it was.

New Logo & Website

I am getting a new logo and website soon and I am really excited about it!

Below are two mock-up versions of my new logo that my Web/Graphic Designer came up with.  Which one do you like better?

MRI Results

 My doctor called me a couple of days ago and told me that my MRI results came back and that I have a reaction stress fracture of the hip, it’s in the ball and socket.  So, I’m on crutches for 4 weeks, then he will reevaluate me. 

I can work out, but only swimming and  bicycle, I can do upper body with weights, but no weight bearing on the right leg at all.  Not good news, but it could be worse, at least I can work out and my trainer is excellent about modifying my work outs, while still making them intense and challenging!   I had a really good work out on Friday and I’m still sore from it, especially my abs! 

As you know, I prepare my meals on the weekends for the week and today was kind of hard cooking and getting everything ready while on crutches! 

I went swimming on Saturday and had a really rough night last night, my hip was really hurting, not sure if it was just a bad day from being at work in the morning and being on my leg a little bit, or if the swimming aggrevated it.  Today, I’m not doing anything, I am giving it total rest! 

I will see my doctor this Tuesday, and he will go over the MRI and my results in more detail then.
